In Boost Your Editing Income, I’m going to show you how to change the way you think about your business and your skills, which will help you charge more and hear the word ‘yes’ from more clients.

Over four weeks we will: 1) look at the vision you have for your business; 2) determine what you really want to earn in your business and work out what you really need to charge; 3) understand how having a niche can increase your income and help you feel excited about your business; and 4) create a marketing plan that you will actually implement.

But more than that, you will start to see yourself and your business differently. Having insight into your own mindset is so important when you run your own business. And I'm here to help you do just that.

Malini Devadas

Malini Devadas

Hi! I'm Dr Malini Devadas and I can't wait to work with you to help you grow your editing business.

I completed a PhD in neuroscience in 1997 and worked in medical research before realising I enjoyed the writing more than the lab work. I started my editing career in 2004, working inhouse at a small consultancy firm; in addition to learning my editing craft, I also learned a lot about running a business.

In 2013, I set up my own editing and writing coaching business. Since then, I have spent much time studying marketing and coaching and realising that mindset is the biggest thing holding back most sole traders. I work as a coach so that I can help other editors increase their income by valuing their own skills and taking marketing action.

In this course, I have included the concepts that I think are fundamental to running a business. Until we are confident about why we set up our business and who we want to help, it will be difficult to do effective marketing.

Course dates

This live round of the course begins on Monday 2 March 2020 and goes for 4 weeks. Each Monday you will receive an email and get access to the week's content. I will also host a Q&A call each week where you can ask any questions you may have. Even if you can't make it live to the call, you can send in your questions and I will answer them and then send you the recording.

  • Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

    I am proud of the course I have created and have seen from previous participants that if you do the work you can make big changes in your business. However, if, after doing the first module, you decide that this course is not for you, please email me at malini@editboost.com before 9 March 2020 with your completed workbook for Module 1 and I will refund your money. After this date I cannot offer a refund, so please think carefully before you purchase this course.

  • I'll be away for some of the next 4 weeks. Does that matter?

    No. You get access to the course for the life of the program (which I'm anticipating to be for many years to come) so you can work through the course material when it suits you.
